Trading in my car help

Hi folks,

Apologies if this sounds like a daft question, but if my cars trade in value is 9k (as per parkers) would any dealer be willing to sell me a car worth 9K, taking my Audi as a trade in? (i.e basically swap my Audi for the Alfa in their forecourt)

In theory my audi will be worth slightly more in terms of the dealer selling it on (9k is its trade in value, maybe 1k less than dealer price) so would this be enough to tempt them into a swap for a similar valued car?

Anyone had a similar expierance or have any advice, it would be much appreciated.

If the lowest px value is enough to cover the new car, then the dealer will probably do it.
They may use the lowest value possible for yours though, and the retail price for the new one...
