Home insurance quote, any good?

Just had my renewal through for home insurance and its £160 including 100k legal cover. This is with two previous claims, one minor for £100 for accid damage to carpet and the other was just 6 months ago for accid damage to our sofa 2.5k....

tried to get a quote from Aviva and they would not even quote

It depends on what level of cover you have and what options
e.g. personal possessions, specificied valuables, bicycles, legal, accidental damage.

I pay £630, but I think I get good value for the coverage I have.

To get any sensible answers you would need to state the levels of cover, excess and all the options you've chosen.
Or you could go to a comparison site and spend 10 minutes giving the details and get dozens of quotes, which might be your best bet.

Note: Use false email and phone number (so no harrasement) but you must use correct address and postcode.

Two claims at different times with a strange but similar circumstances would possibly be the reason. Dropping acid is not your every day sort of claim

I pay just under £300 a year but that wont help as you dont know my postcode or house type/value and quality of cover.

I was just about to post as I was confused at your post, but have just realised where the misunderstanding is. I was being lazy with just writing accid damage..... what I meant was accidental damage!! Two completely different circumstances, first claim 4 years ago the second 6 months ago

I think i should just crack on and do the comparison site
