Hello,
I have rang up the Tesco Car Insurance, I gave them them the policy number and then asked why they increase the price of my insurance and this woman told me they are the cheapest car insurance, everywhere else has increased their prices and then she told me to ring somewhere else to get a quote and then phone me back.
Thats a good customer service.
What do you guys think about the situation?

Well they are right.
Prices have gone up across the board for various reaons (increased fraud, personal injury claims etc.)
If you aren't happy with their quote, then shop around.
There may well be a bit of haggle room, but it's better if you have other quotes to be in a negotiating position.0 -
I have no personal experience of Tesco car insurance, but it sounds as if they will try to match the price if you get a better quote.
From reading on these forums, it seems that a lot of people are getting large increases in their premiums.
My advice would be to get some like-for-like quotes. If you find any cheaper than Tescos you can either go back to them with the better price, or if you're happy with the new company just go with them, and lapse the Tesco policy.
If you decide to go with another company, make sure any auto-renew facility has been cancelled.
Hope this helps.0 -
Better still, shop around, get a better price and move.
Let tesco know you're moving as they were too dear, and if they can suddenly become cheaper and still offer you insurance, tell then it's a shame they tried to overcharge you in the first place.0 -
My car insurance more than doubled from last year and I'm retired and in my 60's and last year wasn't because I was a new customer either0
