I recently put in an offer on a house which has been accepted, however, my house has not been sold yet. I need to sell my house in order to purchase the new one. The vendor is aware of this and states she is in no hurry to move out as she is looking for a property to rent. My question is this: I am VERY keen to purchase the new property and am frightened incase a first time buyer or a buyer with the reddies snaffles the property from under my nose! Ive considered bridging loans. Any thoughts, suggestion,s or is it just a case of byding my time??

I don't think you have any rights which is the shame of it.
Do make sure you're with a good estate agents though. We are trying to sell our flat and we hd 2 viewings in 11 weeks with our first estate agent. We then changed to another and we have currently had 5 viewings in 3 weeks. What a difference!Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o0 -
If the vendor is really keen to sell to you, and is willing to wait until you have a buyer, why not ask her to take the property of the market for a few weeks ( the AE wont like it), but its up to her,and will give you a chance to find a buyer...
Its certainly worth a try...

Yes thats a thought. Youre right though, I did ask the EA to stop arranging viewings and they wouldnt so my next port of call will be to the vendor then. She has accepted my offer and knows my position and we both seemed as keen as each other. Fingers crossed then!0
