Fined in Private Car park

Hello all,
I recently left my vehicle at my partner’s apartment. She has an underground car park for which an annual fee is paid. in addition she pays for a visitors car parking space which I occasionally use.
We recently went on holiday for two weeks. I parked my car in the visitor’s bay and returned to find, not one but six penalty tickets issued by a private company for failing to display my visitors permit. I must admit that I had left it in my console.
I’ve heard lots about the legitimacy of such companies. Their fines are £90 each £45 if paid within 14days.
Could anybody give me some advice on the legitimacy of being issued with six tickets for fail to display when my car never left the car park for two weeks and where I stand legally before I contact them
Thanks!

Can you post the name of the company that has issued these tickets. It's 99% certain you can laugh them off, but post the company name and we can confirm.Pants0

I think the O.P. didn't want it getting lost in an already huge thread. It's always good for newer users to see this scam for what it is too, so IMO there can't be too many threads on these companies

These jokers are well known. File away and ignore the subsequent swarm of threatening letters on the doorstep. Do not contact. Do not try to "appeal" (there is no appeals process, just a standard you must pay up response). They will threaten court, bailiffs, and so on. None of it will happen. Enjoy your life and don't worry about it :beer:olivertwister wrote: »Thanks for the quick response. The Company are UKPC0 -
Yeah, starting to get the picture in relation to this matter.
I suspected something odd when I received 6 tickets all for failing to display permit, all by the same warden. I mean he/she knew the car hadn't turned a wheel in two weeks. I could only fail to display once. greedy, greedy greedy..
Thanks for the feedback I appreciate It !0 -
Warden? Chimpanzee in a high vis jacket more like.
Carry on ignoring.0
