Postage to Canada

Hi
Anyone know the cheapest way to send a parcel to Canada? Someone has bought a load of plates from me and UPS charge £89:eek:

I have to get off the computer now as kids are claiming to need it for homeowrk but i'll check back later if anyone has any ideas.
Thanks

Sorry I can't think of any cheap couriers to Canada, I tend to always use RM for everything and if it is heavier than their limits I don't sell it (I'm a wimp).

I just wanted to remind you though to make sure you are fully covered against loss and if possible to use a courier who will reimburse your postage costs if the item fails to arrive as you'll need to return all of the payment to your buyer.

You could try http://www.pharos-international.co.uk/ who quoted a cheap price for a recent parcel to the USA. Canada is very fussy about return addresses being on the front top left corner of envelopes (not on the back as usual). I'm not sure if this applies to parcels but best to check - your address will probably be on the AWB but maybe it needs to be repeated. I should pack the plates really well as I suspect you will only be insured for total loss - breakage is likely to be excluded by most carriers.

Rose Sparky - there should be no VAT for parcel deliveries outside the EC.
