Creation credit card payment

I recently got the Flybe credit card to take advantage of its free 241 flight offer if you make any payment. I bought a couple of small items on the 27th July which came to £7.31. I then waited for the statement to come through which didn't arrive until the 25th August, nearly a whole month after spending on the card. This said that the payment date was for the 6th September; however, upon trying to pay via their website last week, which states in their FAQs that you can pay by debit card, I kept on receiving error messages.

As I am moving abroad in two weeks I did not want to pay by another credit card as I would not be here to receive the bill. I therefore tried to contact them, but my telephone does not allow calls to 0871/0845 type numbers at home and I was also abroad for a few days, so I tried to e-mail them but I got error replies everytime from that too - "Delivery failed 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for customerenquiries@creation.co.uk".

So I left it until the weekend before realising that the only way to pay was by my credit card, which worked straight away, after trying many times again with my Visa Debit card. I received a successful payment e-mail from them with a reference number but nothing has come out of my bank yet. I contacted them by phone at work today and told them that their website, their e-mail address and the "contact us" box all don't work and asked if I will be charged for their mistakes. Has anyone got any advice for if I am?

Thanks!

I always pay credit bills from my bank account using their own online banking, either as a one off faster payment, or a standing order, using the card companies' sort code and account number, with the 16 digit card number as a reference.

I never try using any other methods so can't comment on the above. Send it from your bank account using your online banking. It's the most secure and fool proof way to do things like this.

Creation / Sygma have recently changed their internet banking website

I always pay the bill online using a card (min payment DD - remainder by card) with no problems

My payment was also due on 6/09/2010 and I split the payment between several cards

Some have been debited and some have not - despite auto email confirmations stating the transactions were successful and quoting reference numbers

I will incur about £30 interest charges as a result of this , which will no doubt require dealing with a bunch of banklovers at the FOS

I have an email confirmation stating the payment was successful

If I was you , assuming late payment markers are an issue due to a direct debit not being in place -I would pay again by card as the bill is only £7.31 it and will show on your A/C before the next statement

I have paid my bill again and will take the matter up with Sygma (I have already phoned them - (0800 number) and they say no one else has complained and allow 5-7 days) mind you their staff cant spell simple words - so I don't hold out much hope

Your card payment will not go through regardless of the email confirmation that the payment was successful
