Could you add it to your home insurance?
If your son is a permanent resident at the home it could be included for loss or damage at an additional premium.
You may incur a mid-term adjustment fee and it would probaby not be covered for any "mechanical" breakdown or failure that the other policy may cover.
If you have a "personal belongs" cover on your home insurance it might be covered already. Check your current policy.
If not, I would ring the home contents provider and ask them how much it would cost to cover.
Hope this helps.0
