Can't send photos in Hotmail anymore!

I've been trying to send a few photos in Hotmail but I keep getting stopped from doing it.
When I click Photos>Add Compressed Photos a message pops up saying "Internet Explorer has blocked this site from using an ActiveX control in an unsafe manner. As a result this page might not display correctly" When I click on it it doesn't give me the option to install the ActiveX but just says "What's the risk" and "Information bar help".
I went to the Hotmail help page and posted a message on the forum but was told to post my email address there. I didn't feel happy to do this so I'm stuck now.
I have Internet Explorer 8. I've tried to do it with Firefox but that doesn't even give me the option to send compressed photos, just the options of "Web Images" and "Clip Art"!
Whats going on? I just want to send my Dad a few photos!! ...lol

You have probably got some different setting activated for activeX.
Internet explorer 8 is really poor and over the top. Try installing chrome instead. Very light and quite fast.Motto: 'If you don't ask, you don't get!!'
Remember to say thank you to people who help you out!
Also, thank you to people who help me out.0 -
You could just zip them yourself or .rar, .7z etc... Whatever your comfortable with then just attach that file in the normal way.0

Yes I am having the same problem ........ I have tried using Hotmail via Chrome . But like Angel using Firefox it does not give you the option of sending photo's !
So can anyone show us how to change our activeX settings please.

DOHHH it is times like this I wish I write things down
A friend had the exact same problem on his laptop, and we sorted it after a while
It is something to do with ActiveX........racking my brains..........
After a quick trawll of the interweb, I remember where I got the answer from. This is from the social.msdn.microsoft.com web site--- Go to the TOOLS tab in Internet Explorer
--- Select INTERNET OPTIONS
--- Select the SECURITY tab
--- Select CUSTOM LEVEL
--- Scroll down in ActixeX Controls to where it says "Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting" and chance the setting to "PROMPT"
--- Click OK when it asks you if you want to change this setting
--- Click APPLY
--- Click OK
--- Close Internet Explorer
--- Re-open Internet Explorer
--- Open Windows Live Hotmail and create a new e-mail and start to attach photos
--- It will prompt you "An ActiveX control might be unsafe......do you want to allow this interaction?"
--- Click YES
--- Now you can upload photos as you used to be able to
***** If you do not want to be prompted every time "An ActiveX control might be unsafe......do you want to allow this interaction?" then you can change the setting to ENABLE in the ActiveX controls. Now this setting was origionally set to disable with the release of IE 7, so my advise would be to leave it on prompt.
A couple of people started to go on about changing th registry, but this did not require that and it did work
GL allThere are 10 kinds of people that understand binary
Those that do
Those that dont
