Decent restaurant in London for a special meal??

Lets say budget no object (not really the case!) where would you eat in London for a special occassion. Either somewhere unique or memorable food or amazing views??

Lunchtime or evening not fussed and need to be able to actually book it for end of September on a Saturday so nowhere with a two month waiting list!!

All suggestions from personal experience gratefully received!

Oxo tower worked for us - great views and great food

money no object i would say gordon ramsay at hospital road, chelsea but you would never get a saturday in september booked now!

try claridges for lunch, £35 (i think still) a head for lunch, excellent food and service and brilliant value for money. if you phone now you may still get sat lunchtime

can also reommend the oxo tower as per the above, is nice
