Hi to everyone..
Just wondered if theres anything here i can do as i feel so damn useless sat waiting at the mercy of HRMC.
I submitted a change in circs at the start of the summer hols (scotland) and had all tax credits stopped with immediate effect.. its now 9 weeks down the line and apparently my claim is still in the process of being 'checked'..
I was lied to last week by two tax credit helpline call centre ppl who told me my claim had been processed and was awaiting the computer to pick a payment schedule, i then called on friday of last week to be told that was untrue and it hasnt been processed as yet.
I have accrued over £450 bank charges (just came to an agreement to pay them back at X amount per month), rent arrears, payment agreements have been broken, creditors calling me non stop and i cant offer them anything
my partners entire income was gone within 3 days paying bills and some of the extremely urgent things back.
My sons DLA & Carers allowance money per month is what is seeing us through for food and fuel money but even then this is seriously the worst position ive ever found myself in financially.
Surely there must be a set amount of time they must make a decision in? Every time i call im promised 'not much longer now' and another week goes by. Its really not much consolation that it'll be backdated because the amount of charges ive got now (not to mention my credit rating is completely wrecked) it will all be gone immediately when i recieve it
It is so wrong and its no wonder so many people fail to tell change of circumstances when honesty is rewarded with near bankrupcy, grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Hi we are 7 weeks in and like you phoned over 15 times now,awaiting decision we've been lied too from it's stuck in head office (numerous emails sent) to "not be much longer!" etc I've emailed our MP who still hasn't gotten back to me and like you we have a disabled child it's ridiculous. Ive asked numerous times of what to do,where can we go for help we struggled through getting school uniforms and owe more now than we will get backdated i have gotten to a point of refusing to ring anymore to find out what is going on as they keep me waiting for over 40+ minutes and all i get is the same story "not long now i can't do anything keep ringing back" yeah thanks my phone bill will be sky high too.:mad:0
