I have set up a hushmail account, but every message I send out requires that I create a new question for the recipient to answer!
Is there any way I can get round this?
It makes it awkward to send regular/multiple messages, even to just one person.
Alternatively, is there a better / easier to use secure web based email provider I can use? (I have gmail).
I tried GMX but it's no longer secure.

Not web based, but try Thunderbird with PGP/GPG or SMIME encryption. The recipient will be required to create a key/certificate once and install it with his/her email program and you both exchange your public keys.0 -
Get your recipient to set up a Hushmail account too?0

Hi,
When it asks you for the question and answer, uncheck the "Encrypt Message" checkbox that appears just above the question and answer fields.
You will then be able to send your message without encryption.
On the Preferences page, you can uncheck "Attempt to encrypt outgoing messages" to stop it from doing this every time you send an email.
Please don't hesitate to contact me via the contact link on our website if I can be of further assistance.

But this will render the use of Hushmail useless. I was under the impression that the OP wants to use encryption. Otherwise he/she could use any email provider who offers SSL login.0 -
Very good point tronator!!!!
I WANT my messages encrypted.... but surely there HAS to be an easier way or a more user-friendly provider? It's nice to be important.....but it's more important to be nice

Hi,
That's true. It's tricky to send encrypted email to people who aren't also using a compatible secure email service/software.
When your recipient gets one of our "question & answer" emails, they have the option to create a passphrase. If they do this, in the future you won't be asked to enter a question & answer for that person, and they'll be able to pick up the message by typing in that same passphrase every time.
They can create the passphrase by clicking the "Create a passphrase" link that appears below the message after answering your question.
I hope this helps some.
