I have managed to pin down to these monitors:

At the moment, I am leaning towards the LG E2350V 23"
Is this a good choice?

The Samsung seems to be quite good, it is 1" bigger as well.

However, I think the LG W2361V-PF looks the nicest, then theres the E2350V which is LED backlit and therefore slimmed.

I am really stuck! Please help!

I recently upgraded from an old 17" CRT screen to the BenQ G2420HDBL, which is a cheap TN-panel (similar to the G2420HD but with LED backlighting), and am pretty impressed with it.

The most important issues for me were to have sharp, clear text and to reduce eyestrain. The monitor is a massive improvement in these areas. It's probably not great if you need colour accuracy or wide viewing angles, though...

'Fraid I can't comment on the other monitors, but I hope this helps a bit.

I think the only difference is that the ...HDBL has an LED-based backlight, while the ...HD one doesn't.
  • LG Flatron W2261V-PF 22" Widescreen (built two pcs with these as the monitors for family in the last 6 months)
From overclockers is a fantastic buy..(or anywere that is cheaper)
Superb performance for a great price...
  • It's just taken my computer 3 minutes to show this thread. Do the images have to be quite so large?
  • zorrofox, I se your point :)
looks like the link to the sammy is a 1.6mb file, for anyone on a slow connection that's gonna take a while (maybe 5 minutes on dialup for that 1 image)
Hopefully a mod will come and resize and host, or just bork the link..or something (or maybe the OP could do that ;)

damn - just noticed i now have a scrollbar on the bottom.... :)
