There isn't really much family support available that she trusts. She only really feels comfortable relying on me.

That really isn't a good idea as she'll soon have a baby relying on her.

Is she happy to go ahead with the pregnancy or has she looked at alternatives?

I was JUST about to post virtually the same thing. I fully understand the implications of mental illness during pregnancy. Had I not got the help I needed (and that included alot of support from my family) there is no way I would have been able to care for the baby I now have. Other people telling me how difficult it would be did not prepare me for actually being in the situation myself. Babies are hard work when you are of sound mind and body - it's even more difficult when you are not.

Its great that you're being so supportive but it may be worth trying to involve any friends or family you can. Obviously, we don't know the situation and there may be very good reasons they can't be. But your partner will need support when the baby is born, you can't be there 24/7.
