Does that make a difference? I'm flying to Calgary in a few weeks and Air Canada allow 20kg too.

The crazy thing is that my husband is 90kg heavier than me and that all goes for free (yep I did type that right).

I know they have to draw a line with baggage but I've lost 13kg in weight this year which is the weight of a small suitcase.

I find it quite funny that your baggage is weighed but you can take as much "flesh" as you want.

I wonder what would happen if 200 x 20 stone people turned up for a weight watchers conference.

check your tickets for info ...as this makes a big difference to what you can obviously carry

they would have to re-calculate the loading of the aircraft
it is irrelevant what you weigh when they set baggage allowances...it is just simple to 'police' and you obviously gain when you have small kids and they receive a full baggage allowance

Yep, on the tickets it says 20kg.
