I think I may have just stopped a 'paypal' spammer

This morning I got another of those darned paypal pyramid schemes, the ones that always start off with :

Hi all

Hope you don't mind. I picked your address from my Paypal list. If you don't want to participate then please delete this message....blah blah blah

I'm fed up with these things especially as it means my private email address gets distributed to all and sundry so I decided to make an effort to stop this one. I dug round the headers until I found something claiming to be a routing email server (or something..I'm not techie at all) and I sent the lot with headers complaining about spam.

I've since had 2 emails back, one asking me to destroy the original email that was sent via their system as it was not meant for circulation and is to be recalled by the sender. That email came with the logo and address of a large firm of solicitors. I've since had a recall email from the original sender.

I rather suspect that the original sender works for a law firm and was using his work based PC to send spam...i wonder if he will get in trouble :eek:

That's the second one I've tracked back, the first rather stupidly sent me the spam mail from his work email address, a well known High Street shop, and I also got contacted by their HR department apologising and saying that individuals would be retrained in the use of work based internet use!
