Hi guys
Myself and my girlfriend have booked off from this coming friday (10th) and the following week with the view to a very cheap trip to spain or somewhere warm.
We havent booked anything yet and just want cheap and cheerful, pref full board or all inclusive both know we have to be flexible!
Have done loads of searchin but wondered if anyone could recommend specific agents to try - and how much we may be able to beat them down with it being so last min!
Thanks

I've just started entering the competitions (July 07). When I win I'll update this signature. Look on the bright side, I shouldn't have to update it very often.

Olympic have a few deals on friday to Corfu for £105 a head- which is stupidly cheap. The downside is the only ones left are Kavos. However, Kavos may suit you, but if it didn't I'd be inclined at that price to book, use the apartment for a kip/shower/change, and then go to the other end of the island & find somewhere to stay. The top end of Corfu is stunning- and you should have no problem finding a cheap place to stay in any resort at that time of year.DTD...Dreading The Detox.0

I have no specific agent to try but a few years ago we had booked a week off and forgotten to book a holiday - walked into thomas Cooks and walked out with a trip to Skiathos for a week for 110 each including flights. mind we had to get to Gatwick at the crack of dawn but worth it.
just walk in one and walk out with something nice and cheap!one of the famous 50 -
I'd agree with going to a travel agent - BUT -come back out again and get onto here and trip adviser and look up reviews for the hotel before you book. Just going by some of the posts on here about people who have regretted their decision after reading reviews. good luck0

I don't know if they still run this type of thing, but when it was just me and my OH we used to look on the teletext pages and ring up some of the agents on there.
We had some amazing holidays very cheaply.
It is a risk, as we used to do room on arrival as it is even cheaper to travel that way, but never had a bad experience. You choose the star rating to be sure of a standard.

Teletext is great for last minute deals..
Id be cautious about believing everything written on tripadvisor though - there's lots of history about the owners and friends of places writing good write ups when the opposite is true.one of the famous 50 -

The way to deal with TripAdvisor is to ignore the best 10% of reviews and the worst 10%. The truth is always somewhere between.
As for last minute holiday, don't discount the DIY route. While budget airline fares are usually more expensive close to departure date, there can be some exceptions. I once woke up early one Sunday morning, looked on the internet, booked a flight leaving from Stansted in 3 hours time, jumped in the car and by lunchtime I was on the beach in the south of France. Flight cost £9.99 and I sorted out some accommodation when I got there. Flew back on the Monday morning and had to think of an excuse why I was late into work.0
