Southern Trains Advance offers & child fares

My daughter (15) and some friends want to go to Brighton for the day & I have found some great prices with Southern trains out of London Victoria.

What I can't find anywhere on the website (& I've been hanging on the phone for ages) is their policy on child pricing. Child fares are offered but it doesn't say up to what age - obviously I'm hoping its up to 16!

As I have to book these online in advance, and they will be travelling without an adult, I don't want them to run into any bother on the day. So can anyone who uses Southern confirm whether they will be classed as children, and that they don't need any special railcards etc?

Will try ringing again but just can't get through & I want to book.

thanks.
