Ok - one last teensy weensy thing - and believe me I really appreciate the help I've received here - Don't suppose you could point me in the direction of such a valve? I've searched my usual culprits and I'm not confident I'm looking at the right thing.0

ive got two of these.
or similar.
They look like regular NRVs, I think what I'm looking for are full bore ones. And from what I gather (after MUCH MUCH googling) they generally have a body that is fatter than the nuts.
As a new user I can't include links but someone called VIP Ltd sell a big fat one (part no 02/0014) but they want 20 quid postage.
Obviously - as has been established - I am soooo far from being an expert though I have learned a lot about 15mm check valves this afternoon!
The Pegler ones sold in ScrewFix look quite fat??0 -
ive no idea if mine are full bore or not. i doubt it considering the price i paid.
but my water pressure is pretty good anyways.Get some gorm.0 -
Hi,
Can't help thinking you have a fundamental problem but ,as you've had someone out to look, I would give the check valves a go.
I have had the same problem finding a check valve with a decent bore.
If you want to make up some of the loss of bore use a 22mm check valve with reducing sets to 15mm.
Good luck.

Great - I had considered that but was scared to say it out loud in case it was daft!
I've order the necessary stuff.
There *may* be something else going on but this isn't going to hurt to try - or cost too much!
Many thanks

ok - just one last little thing
I've bought a 1 piece reducing set (rather than the 3 piece as advised above!!) from ScrewFix.
It's not at all obvious how to use it with the 22mm valve.
Does anyone know how to fit the reducing set to the valve??? I can see how the olive of the valve might grip the reducing set but I can't see what's going to grip the 15mm pipe.
Sorry can't post links but it it's a flowflex 1 pc reducing set 22-15 on screwfix and a 22mm check valve.
Have I simply bought the wrong component?
Edit : Fear not - I think I've got it.0 -
How'd you get on?
