RIAS premium hikes

Hi everybody
I have ins'd my 80 year old propertywith RIAS for 6 yrs or so, had 3 claims, last of which was for subsidence to a conservatory, caused by tree roots from my neighbour's garden. Claim was rejected as they claimed foundations were too shallow, and therefore subject to their 'poor workmanship' exclusion. However, renewal premium has been increased by 90% (their figure) in view of 'claims experience'! So, although they won't do anything to repair my conservatory, they want me to pay for the privilege. The previous year's premium was increased by 40% following a claim for a leaking rising main, even though they failed to ensure that the remedial work was being carried out in a professional manner, which led to a delay of 6 months and more worryingly, caused me to receive an electric shock from a light switch that had been left only partially connected.
I am, of course, stuck with them now, and additionally have the value of my property damaged as a result, without any redress, but I would advise any person considering them to think very carefully. (I checked each clause of their policy against my existing insurer before I changed, and saw nothing regarding 'poor workmanship' in the info they sent me with their quote. It was only after I changed, and made this claim, that this clause came to light)
