Carrefour loyalty vouchers

Hi,
Last time we were in France, the woman at the checkout in Carrefour suggested that we signed up for their loyalty card. It was free (as you'd expect) so we thought we might as well as we tend to go there once or twice a year.
Got a mailing from them last week with what seems to be a "loyalty cheque" for 11 Euros to spend in store. I believe it expires in November.
Now, it would be far from MoneySaving to go to France before November just to use this voucher. But equally it would be gutting to waste it if there's anything we can do with it.
My French is good enough (when supplimented with gestures) to just about cope on a day to day basis as a tourist. It is far from good enough to understand the terms and conditions of something like this.
I believe it says that you must present your card when redeeming the voucher, so we can't eBay it.
Does anyone else have one of these cards? Is there any way of us using the voucher without going to France?
11 Euros seems a lot to get back from one shopping trip. Does it include a welcome bonus or something? Or did we happen to buy things with bonus points? If it's something we're going to get every time we go there it would almost be worth considering planning the date of our trip so that the voucher will have come and be in date for when someone we know are next going.
Thanks,
Jim
