They won't be able to afford to move to most of them
Thats why there is that fund for moving people out of London.
The government are prepared for it, they are setting aside money to move benefit claimants out of the city and into less populated areas.
OK the Housing benefit bill will be reduced a long way but unemployment is going to record figures.0 -

I know this post is about house prices and that is your main concern but you can’t run a city with no one doing the low paid jobs so moving lets say a hospital porter claiming LHA 50 miles from London won’t keep the city running.0 -

plenty of council housing in inner london, and plenty of unemployed people living there.0 -

Then they will just have to raise salaries rather than maintaining high yields for rich landlords.0 -

You are probably right but I can’t see the government chucking them out and putting low paid workers in their price, good idea that it might be.0 -

Would you like to live in a high rise further away from your work?
It's not a simple as just moving low paid workers into their place. It's to do with the location of council/HA properties and the size of them.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
