Cheap Tickets for War Horse

Hi All, Having a London break in early November and would love to go and see War Horse. Should I buy tickets in advance or will I be able to pick them up when I arrive? Did have a look on a tickets website but it was over £60 each which I was a bit shocked at, maybe it's because I'm not used to London prices! Any advice on where to get cheap(er) tickets would be greatly welcomed, thanks in advance.

Really just looking for cheap ticket advice! Anybody out there?0

Hi - War Horse is one of the few hot tickets in the West End at the moment and as such isn't discounting in advance at the moment. There are various places to sit in the theatre not for top price - but remember that falling ticket price generally = restricting view, which might not be an awful obstruction and you might not miss much, but reflected in the price.
Check out the theatremonkey website to see what is written about seats and views in the New London theatre for this show.0 -
Hi - you could sign up for showpairs (.co.uk) and see if it comes up as one of their offers. I think box office (part of seetickets) is ok. And have you checked the days out guide (with national rail) or lovetheatre's 2 for 1 offers?0

It's boxoffice (co.uk) and on the days out guide look under the 2 for 1 tab.0

Thanks for the info, still showing at £62 each on boxoffice.co.uk, think I may just have to bite the bullet and go for this as it's the only West End show I fancy! Have looked on theatre monkey already, it's full of good tips, thanks Critchyboy. Now the dilemma is do I put off till we arrive in London or just jump in and fork out the cash now, I really would hate to miss out because of excessive stinginess on my part!0

Try lastminute first. I just had a look in October 2010 and there were Sat tickets, top price seats for £49.50...0

£49.50 is a top price ticket (excluding the £80 premium seat option!) - depending if lastminute do booking fees, expect a fee on top.0

Had a look on The National Theatre web site and £49.50 does indeed seem to be top price, thanks again Critchyboy. A bit better than the £62 best price I had found earlier, now just need to research on Theatremonkey to pick out the best seats for view, legroom etc and I think I will go ahead and book directly through the theatre. Ta again!0

I can't wait to see this show eventually! Let us know what you thought of it.0

I also want to book tickets for this show later in the year, but resent paying £60 plus for a £49.50 seat and have, so far, been unable to find anything else.
I have read elsewhere that most seats beyond the first three rows in the stalls have good viewing as the stage revolves.
If you want to see a particular show I would always buy in advance and then you won't be disappointed.
I will keep looking!!
Hope you enjoy it.0
