Music Equipment Not Working (Software/Hardware)

Last year on the 11th September I spend a lot of money on my credit card buying (Software and Hardware) to make music as a hobby.
It didn't work with my laptop properly and customer support for the Software said that I had problems with my laptop, it took me a long time to save up and build a PC and the same Software/Hardware keeps causing the new system to crash when I install the drivers.
I wrote a letter demanding a "reasonable resolve to my issue" to the company that I bought the goods from and they ignored it.
I contacted Trading Standards and they were useless saying that I could take it to a small claims court.
What do I do?????
I spent over £700 and cannot afford to write off this amount.
Please help!

Have you tried looking for upto date drivers. Or contact the manufacturer to ask them about the issue.0

You could try the Techie Bored, the geeks on there will some rip the thing for you to play some riffs0

I have got the up to date drivers, even talked to tech support in the USA for hours but they keep trying to blame my system again. I find it very hard to believe that 2 different computer systems have difficulty in running the driver. I am at my wits end.:eek:Consumer Britain on debt = Unsustainable0

To be honest, if you have pursued the company and they have ignored you, then Trading Standards' advice is probably correct - you will probably need to pursue them through small claims court to recover the money. If you have exhausted your options with the company themselves then I would have thought that would be the next logical step, but you have have to produce an independent technical report stating that this is a problem with the goods rather than your computer. The cost of this would be repaid if you won your small claims case, but it depends how confident you are that your computer is not to blame.0

As Freddie said ask on the Techie Board. There's some very helpful people over there.

You need to make sure there are no compatibility issues first before going down the small claims route.0
