Monday 6th Sept - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Goooood morning people - I'm back to my early mornings so thought I'd get the thread going again - tis nice to be back:rotfl:
I have been reading every day, just very lazy and not posting...ooops:o:o
So - welcome to any new posters that I've not 'met'...and hello to you regulars...this is a fab, friendly thread and we want it busy with lots of list and ideas:D
I'm feeling a lot better following my lovely op in May - back at work (in a school) again, both my girls were back last week too. So all back to normal hopefully;)
Here's my list for today:
Have a great day:A

Morning all!
I skipped this weekend on here as I had loads of *stuff* to do. Saturday consisted of ripping hedges out of my garden to gain 5 foot! This I will use for planting veg or flowers, not sure as yet!
Yesterday I went to watch the German DTM racing at Brands Hatch with free tickets from work. Took a work car was well so no fuel to pay. Free ticket for bacon roll and cuppa tea too! Just spent money on doughnuts and more tea! Would have been great day had I not started to get abuse from ex half way through.
Today I have/will:
- HW off
- Lunch and snacks from stores
- Do some OnePoll
- Try to sparkle despite nasty messages - don't get involved in an arguement about it
JxNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -

Morning all!
Great to see you back Milly. Glad to hear your well enough to go back to work.
Stitching - you mentioned at the weekend about a second job. Have you thought about waitressing. I do it for a second job a couple of years ago. The best bit is the tips, I use to make about 4 times my base pay (nmw) in tips, sometimes more. My advice would be either go somewhere where the tables turn really quickly, even if the food is not as expensive as you'll get lots of small tips or go for the other end where you only serve a couple of tables but they tip big because of expensive meals! HTH
List fo today:
Washing on, dry inside or out I rain holds off
Tea from freezer
DM and DF over today. Maybe out for a coffee and walk
DD in reusables
Check banking - only 9 days left to survive:eek:
Keep eye on eBay, several of my items will sell, if only few pounds. But it all helps
Quick tidy round
Think thats about it. Have a great day everyone
