New Year holiday

Hi all. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I'm looking for a holiday for 2 adults (any duration) for over the New Year period as cheap as humanly possible (bargain basement in fact). This can be pretty much any standard of accommodation, for any length of time, at any resort that's warmer than the UK. Does anyone have any suggestions? (Keep it clean please). Also, would I be better booking in advance or last minute?

Thanks in anticipation!

Fly to Malaga with Easyjet, hire a little apartment somewhere like Benidorm using villarenters.
