Why can't I ever make a decision? I nearly booked a flight to Turkey this week, and tonight it's gone up from £177 to £235. I'd already started to put my details online this afternoon and then thought I'd leave it a bit longer to decide.
Not very MSE to pay so much more, so I think the increase has made the decision for me.

Well yep... this is why I used to get annoyed by people who kept saying "I'll think about it for a few days" with no good reason at all and then got the hump because the price had doubled meaning that they couldn't go.
This isn't a dig at you, I just don't understand why people are surprised when the fantastic deals don't last very long!0 -

Didn't take it as a dig at me at all. I know it was my fault, and I could still afford to go at the higher price.
It is a reflection on me though, and I wish I could get out of the habit of not making my mind up.
I don't have any debts and my mortgage is paid, but I can still remember when there was little food in the house, and the electric was about to run out that habits are hard to change (thankfully, all that was a long time ago)Not Rachmaninov

I have the same problem Frogletina
I too have missed out on some good deals, but I have also had some good deals because of waiting (my family like to call me the procrastinator) some you win some you lose!
They say it's because my sign is Cancer!
Happy holiday, if you decide to book it any time soon :rotfl:

It doesn't always work that way though, I have been watching flights to Sharm on Easyjets website, they were £230pp, the other day I logged on and 20% off so I booked them quick!£100 - £10,0000

If you look at prices on the same travel websites at frequent intervals (within 48 hours of each visit) you should empty your cookie folder between visits.
These sites store their "last price quoted to you" in the form of a cookie on your computer and then refer back to it to pick up the information when you revisit them. If you revist quickly, they infer that you are likely to book the ticket and so, if business is good, they will increase that price a little to make more money from you.
You can clear your cookie folder through the Tools tag at the top right of the IE page and you can also set up IE to automatically clear your cookie folder everytime you log out. But it is better to use a simple application like CCleaner (Google it to find it) that will do a more thorough job and will clear some of the more difficult ones that this type of site is now using. CCleaner can also be set to retain some cookies that you actually want to keep (like to one that this website puts in the folder containing your log-on details).
Same advice applies to most sites where you shop around for prices such as insurance etc.0
