right please dont yell at me if this is totally wrong but am stuck.
Basically my last comp got broken, the charger pin snapped in the actual charger, this apparently attaches to the motherboard rendering comp useless. I sent it to PCworld (as had bought it from them) but they wanted £700 to repair it. Intially said yes but called back 3 hrs later after speaking to an exs friend who was into comps and ased them not too - anyway long story short because it came back with a report i was able to claim on house insurance.
Nowi have the similar prob with this laptp. The charger pin is not broken but is wobbly when charger is connected (its a bloody comp that has charger on the side rather than the back. ) Despite having anti virus software etc its on a major go slow. I;ve decluttered and disk screened etc and have come to conclusion it is on its way out. Is there anyway to claim on my home insurance without a report saying its broken. and also heres the big thing, i got the comp throughmy exs friend, cash in hand for £500 (looking back think i was ripped off). So of course have no receit. Am now longer in contact with him so cant get him to do me one either.
or am i ging to have to wait till it completely dies on me?
