Do you think I can dye medium brown jumbo cord curtains?
My living room is entirely neutral, the only thing not wood/crystal/white/cream/chrome or marble are the chocolate brown leather sofas & dining chairs & the medium brown jumbo cord eyelet curtains.
I've just swapped some of my chocolate & teal cushions for those snazzy union jack rectangular ones. They are cream, navy & red.
The curtains don't look right with them, the cushions look fab, but the curtains need changing. I don't want cream (not with cream walls) & I'm not crazy on navy, so I thought red.
I've looked for red in corduroy & can't find them - MUST be eyelet/ring top.
Or maybe cream with a chunk of red on them.
Do you think I could dye the ones I have?
If I'm going to destroy them I would rather leave it & put them away for my DD (her bottom drawer:rotfl:) family joke:rotfl:
What do you think?
Or can you advise others that would go with the union jack cushions?

MrsE BandQ believe or not have red suede effect ringtop curtains, and I'm not 100% but I think they had cord ones too. If not I have seen cord elsewhere and think. Not OldStyle at all though
- oh and I should say that I don't think you'll get red if you dye them, they will end up a deep mahogany colour I would think.

Not an authority on dying MrsE but seem to remember reading somewhere that dark colours do not dye very successfully to lighter ones....you might get a maroon, or wine tone and doesn't sound as if those would work with your colourscheme either...maybe a bottom drawer donation is best idea!
There will probably be someone on later to be able to tell you from personal experience if it will work or not.

Not all their curtain sizes are online, I have purchase 90 x 90 suede effect curtains from them instore but those weren't on the site (not red), might be worth a look of it's not too far away? It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0
