Plumbing Quote

I have been quoted £45 inc VAT to replace a bath waste pipe underneath the bath. Is this a fair quote do you think as I have no idea.

Sounds pretty reasonable to me. Will they be removing the old one and taking it away.

Plumbers around here charge approx. £35 an hour plus V.A.T.

And the bath too, the waste pipe is only a few inches so no bother getting rid of that, the bath is another matter.

I had a new bathroom fited while i was away, i came back to find all the fittings, toilet, bath, tiles, vanity unit and rubble, rubble and more rubble. the plumber said he hadnt quoted for a skip.:eek:
The bathroom, including everything, really really nice, modern, excellent job was £4, 187.00 so i really wasnt best pleased. I wont be ringing him again. Not a big bathroom either by any stretch of the imagination but the bliddy VAT is a killer.

That is very cheap. Most of us have a minimum price for the first hour's work and this is well below most.
