Kettle or Immersion

What is cheaper - Boiling the kettle twice for hot water for washing the pots or using the Immersion heater?

We are trying to cut down on our bills so any help would be great!

    The kettle!

Don't you need hot water for other reasons? Washing hands, showers, baths?

    Interesting thread here, Sick.,........http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=267920

....from reading tips here, quite a few do cold water CLOTHES washing, so should work for the dishes.
Got over the hands washing bit, Cardew, by using anti-bacterial handwash soap, and rinsing off in cold water.
Don't know if the hospital way is any cheaper, think they just use an alcoholic based rub then wipe off on tissue.

You made me re-think now, Albertross, I don't use the HWCylinder because of the small amount drawn off each day, but at only 3p a time, and probably even cheaper with gas!!
