Well theres freesat which is free but you do have to buy a box and i think you can get freesat recorders, theres freesat from sky which is the same again but correct me if your wrong but you dont get the option to record or theres freeview which could mean an ariel installed if not 1 present

when you say satellite do you mean like sky etc

Which satellite system are you having installed? Do you mean Freesat which carries [most] of the Freeview channels?

Are you looking for HD or just standard definition?

Are you talking about getting satellite football and films from a European broadcaster? Sky is the only UK satellite broadcaster ....

There are more than 20 satallites that you will be able to get.

You should look at this site to see which ones carry channels that appeal to you

    www.lyngsat.com

The most commonly watched are at 13.0E, 19.0E, 1.0W.

Remember that all the channels on Freesat are on 28.2E. You can either have a dish fixed to one of the satellites, or for an extra £50 you can add a motor so you can view all the satellites from Turkey round to Spain.
