Looking for a fantastic festive day out with a real difference?

The York Festive Flyer could be just what you are searching for!
Departing London Kings Cross at about *7am on Saturday, November 25, the National Railway Museum's exciting new steam excursion takes you to the beautiful and historic city of York during its famous Christmas festival, the St Nicholas Fayre.

Set against the backdrop of York's fabulous cathedral, the annual Fayre includes an array of markets featuring gifts, crafts and the best in Yorkshire produce.

Traders add to the occasion by dressing in period costume and don't forget to look out for the carol singers and the roast chestnuts!

York is home to great visitor attractions including the National Railway Museum, just five minutes walk from the Station.

Here you can enjoy the free festive event, Old Time Christmas with seasonal music, storytelling, theatre and a visit from Santa, all wrapped up in the delicious aroma of mince pies and mulled wine.

The York Festive Flyer will be hauled on the outward journey by the NRM's flagship steam engine, Green Arrow, or alternative locomotive. The return journey, departing about *6pm, is by heritage diesel. There is a buffet Car for the service of drinks and light refreshments.

Standard return ticket prices are £90 for adults and £65 for children aged 16 and under. To book call 08704 282 656 (08.30 - 20.30) or visit www.nrm.org.uk.

We are offering three lucky readers the chance to win a pair of standard class adult tickets
