can i check restrictive covenants myself? for motorhome

Basically, looking at buying a property for the parking and land it affords.
There is unlimited off road parking to the front in the street, and offroad parking in the front drive for two cars.
But what i'm really interested in is the back access.
The rear garden is accessed by an ajoining road, and all the houses in the road i'm looking in have garages or just brick walls facing this access road.
The property i'm after has a single garage and a ten foot wide wall next to it. Both together make up the back boundary of the property.
My plan would be to knock down the wall and drive my motorhome into the garden, then build a gate to swing outwards so that i could reverse the van out.
The van is 26ft long and i would be only bringing it in as far as i need to get it off the road.
The house is an ex local authority semi.
Is there anyway i could check the covenants myself? As if i can't park the van there, i wouldn't even put an offer in.
I have read a lot about covenants regarding caravans, but nothing about motorhomes.
It states on the logbook Motorised Caravan
It is taxed and mot'ed and insured and could be legally parked on the road with no problems.
Can anybody offer any thoughts or experiances?

No big deal. Put your offer in 'subject to survey and resolution of parking for motorhome'.
Then the vendor should be able to tell you who owns the freehold to the road at the back and you can deal with them direct as to altering the access id necessary. After this is clarified enough, you can get the survey done.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. The road to the back of the property is a council one, it comes in and then splits into a T shape giving access to homes in "my" road and in the adjoining road. Was a 40 a day smoker for 20 years.

Then you need to explain this to your solicitor and get permission from the council before you spend money on a survey. Probably best to get your solicitor to formalise the request.riverboat2001 wrote: »The road to the back of the property is a council one, it comes in and then splits into a T shape giving access to homes in "my" road and in the adjoining road.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
