Whats my rights re faulty goods from catalogue?

Hi just looking for advice before i phone my catalogue up.. bought an ipod nano in march (already paid this off already) and its suddenly stopped charging - however it does work if its plugged into pc etc..
After 5 months do i have any rights with this?
Oh and catalogue company is jd williams

    Are you charging the IPod through the computer, or do you have a mains charger.
  • most likely the mains charger has has a fault rather than the nano itself, especially if it's ok when plugged into the PC

  • Hi following this ive bought a new mains charger ive tried charging it on my pc and thru that but whilst its plugged into the electricity its working fully its when you remove it from the supply that it just goes blank...
    Any advise re rights anyone? Thanks x

    yea if its less than 6 months old they should take care of it for you without any hassle. You might have to send everything back though (even if it is just the charger). Dont let them fob you off saying contact the manufacturer etc.
  • Have you tried a full reset? Works for me everytime.

    In this instance (being Apple) I would actually recommend going down the warranty route through Apple. Make an appointment at an Apple Store and it will be resolved easily and quickly.
