Doesn't the "116" mean height in centimetres then? That's what it usually means over here, which would mean you'd expect it to be a bit big on the average 3-4 year old. I can't think of any other measurement which could feasibly be 116 for a 3-year-old size coat.scottishchick27 wrote:The problem is the label doesn't say 3 it says 116 which is a Turkish size. My daughter got a jacket the next size up and she uses a size 4 so I took it that it would be a size 3.
I do remember the vast inconsistencies in child clothing sizes (occasionally even from the same shop!) when my DS was about that age. I often brought clothes home which I thought would fit him, and which were labelled his usual size, but which didn't fit. He had some clothes labelled age 2-3 and some labelled age 5-6 that fit him at the same time. Now he's nearly 13, and has clothes from "8-9" to a gent's large which fit him.
If I were buying a child's garment of unfamiliar make (in fact probably any make other than M&S, who are noted for their consistent sizing) on eBay, I'd ask for actual measurements if none were given in the listing.0 -
If you didn't state the actual size as stated on the garment e.g. 116 and instead put age 3 then I think your buyer may be able to claim item not as described. Personally I wouldn't want it to go as far as a dispute and would work it out with the buyer, if you have made a mistake listing the size/age then bite the bullet offer a refund plus p&p and p&p to return it.0
