advice re: dodgy car

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me, i bought a vauxhall vectra through mobility finance last september. It is not the hire purchase scheme where everything is provided but just the same as if you bought a car on finance. The car was 9 months old when i bought it and when it was roughly 18 months old the starter motor broke. it was fixed under warranty by vauxhall at that time. 3 weeks ago it started to run badly and break down so i contacted vauxhall again as it was under warranty they brought it in and replaced an egr valve they claimed was faulty, that was 1 week ago. last night i was driving as normal and yet again the car broke down, same symptoms except this time it wouldnt go again, engine kept firing up but cutting out again within minutes. It is still under warranty and i am going to contact vauxhall on monday morning, however i can't help but think i've been sold a donkey and am worried things will keep going wrong. I am starting to wonder why when i bought it, it was only 9 months old and am starting to think i was the unlucky mug saddled with a problem car. i am just wondering if i have any consumer rights to do with this and who i should complain to, should it be vauxhall or charles hurst who sold it to me?

Give them a chance to fix it and thank your lucky stars it's under warranty.

On our Panda we had a fault that the "mechanics" couldn't resolve and were coming up with more outlandish and expensive suggestions but I just had a feeling it was something simple and sure enough a good auto electrician found a short in a rear light cluster £40 sorted it.

My point being some faults are a real bu$$er to find and sort.
