Hi, can anyone advise me, I have More Than pet insurance and I have read my policy but can not seem to find an answer to my problem.
My dog has nipped another dog and because of this the other dog has had treatment by a vet, I can not find the details to say whether my policy covers for this type of incident and I cant call them as its late, the other dog owners would like my policy number, would it be enough to give my name and address and my insurance company or should I give my policy number?
sorry for all the Q's

As far as I know, they shouldn't need your policy number. Name, address and insurance company should be enough to begin with - as in a car accident.
I can't see why someone else would need your policy number.
Can you phone them tomorrow? Nothing major is going to happen over night..0 -
My policy for a dog stated I MUST not make any comment in relation to the incident, speak about the incident to anybody other then insurance people and whom they appoint in terms of legal.
I would give them my Surname, insurance contact details and end of. Nothing else, no drawn in to conversation esp if another is with them. However by the sounds of it your accept liability, what your policy says on that, well made check the terms and conditions or your policy might be invaild if she/he has somebody to back up you accepted liability.
But would be on the phone ASAP to insurance seeking advice on the matter. Have you not got a legal helpline included in policy?0
