Disney Land/Resort Paris - Help

Options
We're hoping to take the little ones over to Disneyland / Resort Paris in March next year for a long weekend. We will be 'self-driving' and want to stay in a Disney Hotel for the duration.

Does anybody know if it is possible to get discounts on the official Disney prices anywhere or am I just as well booking direct rather than going through a travel agent ?? If anything, the travel agents seem to be a bit more expensive than direct but this may not be the case everywhere. Is there a downside to booking direct with Disney ??

Any tips / advice that anyone has got would be welcome.

Cheers

  • watch out for free night offers or children go free offers on the disneyland website.

AA offer 5% discount off disneyland prices - you have to book through them I think. I would double check by checking the disneyland price online, then phoning the AA number. NB this is for AA members only I think through the AA member club

I think some of the other hotels close to the park can be got cheaper elsewhere. I havent found cheaper elsewhere for the disneyland hotels when I was looking a couple of months ago.

We went with Ledger by coach two years ago and they were wonderful. We didn't even have to queue to book into the hotel when we got there, it was all done for us.

They do self drive bookings too, I don't know how they compare on prices but I found that the coach price was very reasonable so they might be worth a try. Kids go free too. They include crossings and Disney passes in the price. We stayed at the Hotel Cheyenne and loved it, it was a perfect break!

Look on The Holiday Inn Website.

There is a hotel there.Look at the Holiday Inn Euro Disney page and check out the Packages available.
Lovely Hotel about 5 mins drive to Euro Disney ( where it is free to park if you show your key card.) Or the courtesy coach drives you there. We prefer to take our car as you are free to go back when you want to. We have stayed at this Hotel 3 times now and would definately go again.

  • I'm going to Disney at the end of October with my husband and daughter on a 3 night package. I have booked this all seperately off my own back and saved ££££'s. First I booked flights - which as it was 6 months in advance were £132 for all 3 of us! Then I got a quote off the Disney site which was £652 for a 3 nt package (hotel and entrance only) at the Holiday Inn at Disney. By going onto the Holiday Inn website direct I managed to book a room at the same hotel for 3 nights for a total of £135. Now all I've got to do is buy tickets when I get there. By doing it all seperately I reckon I've saved in excess of £400! I wouldn't book off the Disney site - too expensive.

    Hi

We came back from Disney last week, we booked with Leger, self drive, Davy Crockett Ranch 2 nights 3 days with 2 day hopper ticket, 2 adults, 2 kids (one pays adult prices) but with offer we all paid the same price, £276 for all of us which is a bargain.

You need to look out for the offers, they're doing free upgrade offers now but obviously it's not as good as what we paid.

We have stayed in Cheyenne, New York & Davy Crockett, all are fantastic.
If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in :D
  • I booked direct with disney and eurostar in March this year,4 of us, 3 nights, hotel (b&b), train passes and ins cost us £488, if we had booked earlier we may have got cheaper train prices, it seems to go up closer to date of departure not down!. Last year we stayed in a diff disney hotel booked through the travel agent and paid over £500 plus had to pay 140 euros for a day pass in to the parks for us all. This year we had access to the parks from the minute we got there to the minute we left, so I prefered having them included. I got a quote from an airline recently and I could have saved another £50 on this years price. Not having the stress of driving in France was good too, as husband drives for a living it was a break for him!!

Jan - March are free kids usually at Disney.

We've been 6 times, and if you want a "package" ie entrance and hotel, then Disney themselves are the cheapest, some travel agents, especially the smaller ones are willing to book this for you, so you get the best of both - cheaper and less hassle.

If you want to book hotel only then the only on site ones you can do this for are the holiday inn, and the other 2 next to it, whose names escape me at the moment. Then you have to buy your entrance tickets separately. We did this once and had an annual passport so we were able to return within the year for little to no extra cost - ie we just had to pay for transport and a went to a cheap off site hotel.

If def want to stay on site, in my opinion it's not worth going for one of the higher grade hotels as you literally only sleep in the room, with small children, believe you me no other time is allowed in the hotel! We've stayed at all but the main Disney hotel and they are all decent, some just have bigger rooms / room service etc.

Always combine a free night offer and look at your arrival day to find the cheapest I think Mon/ Tues are the best.

PM if you want more info to stop my waffling!
