Simm Card Won't Work

Just tried an O2 PAYG sim card in a Blackberry Curve which had previously been on Orange contract.

Wouldn't register.

Can someone suggest an explanation why and tell me whether the problem can be overcome?

You'll also need to add blackberry internet service (BIS) to your service plan, and register the device PIN with your network. If the Blackberry service was previously used then you may need to contact the old network to de-register the BIS service

Has the payg sim been used before ? Does have any credit on it ?

Is the phone unlocked (most O2 phone are, but not all).

And everything thatsean say above too. You'll have to have BIS on the payg acc tp make any BB services work.

if network blocked ( reported lost ?) it would also fail to register the sim

It was an Orange phone, not O2.
