Hi we have just applied for passports as we want to go on a nice relaxing break without our kids,
We need somewhere which is easy to get to, navigate around, speak English so we don't get put off for life! but which also won't break the bank.
We don't need a boozy loud place but somewhere we can relax in a bit of sun.
Any tips of where to look would be appreciated, thanks:)

English is widely spoken in any of the mainstream Spanish resorts. Then again, Spanish isn't a difficult language to get to grips with.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

We are looking for a week, November time, not self catering/B&B. So Half board/All inclusive. Not 1 or 2 stars, prefer 4 but may settle for 3 star... Don't really want to spend more than £600 approx.Visit beautiful Mid Wales:j0

the canary islands is always a good shout, almost everyone speaks english, fantastic weather even in November and you can get some good deals. Have a look on teletext holidays. Gran Canaria is nice

Id say Malta. They all speak English, its not a bad distance flight and its cheap. Oh and you tend not to get yobs. Just seen you are going November, so may be some rain then. So you are probably best sticking with Tenerife which is less likely to have rain.0

I'd suggest Tunisia, english is widely spoken, great beaches, I took my daughter to hammamet (Tunisia) last year, it was her 1st holiday abroad she loved it.
I've been before, we stayed at Phenicia, 4 star in Hammamet, beach front.
3 1/4 hr flight (from Manchester), transfer 1hr 15mins to Hammamet, thou Skanes is 15min transfer, not stayed there.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

If all the OP wants is to relax and stay close to the hotel, ie within the main tourist zone, then I'm with you. But that would be boring, and imo it's a bit of a fraudulent claim to having been to a foreign country. Even on a week's break you need to break-out a bit.
Tunisia is a moslem country, an eye-opener and probably a bit scary for the unprepared visitor. If the OP wants to see a bit of real Tunisian life and venture into the town centre, market place or medina then this could possibly be outside their comfort zone, particularly as it's their first trip abroad. For that reason I'd plump for one of the earlier suggestions, even though they are all in the expensive eurozone.0 -
It sounds like Benidorm is for you.
Spanish resorts are no longer the stomping ground for lager louts by November, instead you'll find a broad population of retired folk spending their winters in the sun.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I don't want anything upsetting or scary, my mother went to Uganda last year, I told her it would be dreadful, but who can tell mothers
She had an armed guard at her door! All the children at the orphanage had the same birthday (because they didn't know when their birthdays were) She will continue to raise money for the school, but wont be going back to see where they spend the money!!! I don't want loads of hungry children, pushy people, timeshare sellers in their thousands, or peeing in a hole in the ground....
I just want somewhere nice,Visit beautiful Mid Wales:j0
