Hi All,
Just a quick query - has anyone that is not on the electoral roll been approved for the 3.9% &More card? I have just sent my details to be registered but it apparently wont happen till January and I really dont want to pay the extortionate interest on my other cards till then.
Thanks

I sent my details for the electoral roll over a month ago but suspect it's not been done yet - not sure how I check this?
But I was refused the card. Think this is likely to be the electoral roll and the fact that I've changed name as well as address.
Not sure if that helps.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Having registered your details, the period before your name is added to the electoral roll varies during the calendar year. It's possible to enroll each month from early December until mid-August, using the rolling register procedure.
Unfortunately for you, there is a blind spot from mid-August till mid-October. This is because a borough-wide audit is undertaken in August and the register is updated in October. Your details will appear on 1 December 2006.Originally posted by newlywed

It certainly puts you at a severe disadvantage. Everyone's credit score improves no end once registered. The good news is, you'll be okay after 1 December 2006.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -

Thanks. E-mailed the electoral registry department today and they confirmed that I just missed the August one and that it will be updated on 1 December when i will be on it. :T
So guess I can forget applying for any new credit till after that then. Ho hum. Guess its only just over 2 months of high interest rates!!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

Thanks for that. If I have to wait till December then it's not the end of the world. I wonder why they told me January though??
Might see if I can get a 0% one till then anyway.0 -
Obviously, I don't know where you live, but if you type "electoral roll" and the name of your council into google, you'll be directed to the relevant pages on your local authority website.
Most council websites include an explanation of how the register is compiled and when your name will appear.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0
