Legal Insurance: 'Not Covered by another Policy' Catch 22 Exclusion.

My Buildings Insurance is with Direct Line, and includes Legal Services Insurance.
My Contents Insurance is with RAC (re-branded Aviva, I think) and I also have their Legal Insurance Cover.
Why two Legal Insurance Policies? Because I have hitherto used them only for advice purposes, and just like real solicitors, the advice you get from one is sometimes quite different from another one's advice. Occasionally, you get a very helpful response from one, versus a very pessimistic response from another. Perhaps one is trying to deter claims, or another is being over optimistic, but over the years I've found the 'second opinion' on legal problems priceless.
I'm happy to pay (or waste) £20ish on each policy. But reading the wording, each has an exclusion re not paying if covered under another policy. I'm guessing that partial insurance cover overlaps, whether intentional or accidental, must occur in different areas of insurance, e.g Contents vs Buidings vs Travel. Add to that cover for say replacement key/lock insurance (eg under Sentinel credit card insurance) which might overlap cover offered under one or more other policies, and this must be a known problem.
So do I end up with no Legal Cover (or lock/key cover etc) when policies overlap? Or is some other arrangement reached?
