How to get from Ibiza to Bodrum?

Hi all, wonder if you can help. Next July I am staying in Bodrum for 2 weeks. My son will be working (ish) in Ibiza and wants to come and stay for a week. What is the best and cheapest way of getting there?

Thanks for any advice :j

What about Air Berlin? Still not direct of course but maybe Ibiza-Stuttgart-Bodrum or Ibiza-Munich-Bodrum? There are other combinations too with Air Berlin I think.

Or there is I believe one carrier (Thomsonfly) that does Ibiza-Kos, and then he could catch the hydrofoil from Kos to Bodrum perhaps?

If the Ibiza-Kos flight suits him, yes, he could easily get from Kos to Bodrum - there are daily ferries and hydrofoils between the 2.

The ferries from Kos to Bodrum were just day trips I am not sure whether you can stay, they used to keep passports on the ferries to ensure people returned.

They haven't done this for a long time - I last used the hydrofoil between Bodrum and Kos in 2000, and no-one took my passport from me, it was in my posession the whole time.

Yes we used the hydrofoil for a two centre holiday in about 2005 - flew into Kos, flew back from Dalaman. The old Greece-Turkey restrictions have been somewhat relaxed for some time now. I'd certainly recommend arriving in Bodrum through the simple ferry terminal as one of the more classic 'rendezvous' opportunities - we even managed to talk our way into taking the car through the manned barrier onto the quayside when we arranged to meet some friends on the same route. Ten minutes later we were all seated in a restaurant a little further along the front :D
