Retirement health insurance

I have been trawling the web but cannot find an answer to my specific question - actually regarding retirement health insurance but I figured I would start with this forum.
Situation is as follows:
I am 46 (wife is 47) and we are tentatively planning to retire in 4 years. We are uk citizens living in the EU (in Germany) and have lived here for a number of years.
Our plan is to retire to Austria but I am unsure of what it is likely to cost in terms of medical insurance (an important consideration given the high cost of our current insurance).
Does anyone have a good source of knowlege on the topic?

I would contact bupa international or Aviva healthcare.
