  • Evening all. Izzy is FINALLY in bed. She wanted to stay up all night I think ;)

I didn't mean to sound like I boasting about no grey hairs, btw, just in case I touched a nerve with anyone. :o I realised afterwards that might not have been very sensative.

Em, from what friends have told me recently, the second baby kind of slots in. Plus you already know what to expect and will trust your instincts from day 1, and know to smile and nod and all that. Mind you, knowing what to expect is probably part of the problem :rotfl:.

IF we were to think about having another it would be timed to arrive after Benjamin starts some free nursery hours. I can't afford childcare for 2 :o
We cant really, but with OH working 13 hour shifts 3 days a week we only usually need to have childcare for S once, maybe twice a week, so if we come to an arrangement with the CM that we only send the kids when we actually need to we'll be OK. I dont see why she wouldnt be OK with that, she'll be getting paid to look after two kids instead of one on the days we need her so she'll make the money up anyway. Plus (rather contraversially) we get around 75% of our childcare paid for :o

What is with the huuuuge spiders this year? We keep getting them in the front room near the air vent. The biggest ive seen was easily the size of my hand and had strange white patterns on its body.

Susan, how on earth could they not find your flat? Good thing nothing bad was actually happening to you, although having your car stolen can't have been nice.
Admittedly the door was round the corner on a different street to the street name in my address but it wasn't that hard to find. They did manage to find their way subsequently when I called 999 because people were breaking into the shop below me but never got round to taking a statement. It turned out the car actually wasn't stolen - it had just been moved and left on it's side in the middle of the road so the police had recovered it because it was in the way.

Random question alert: Mfd, Em and anyone else with toddler boys. Tia's facebook pic and V's current obsession with her dolly made me wonder what the similar aged boys do with dollies? Is it a girl thing?
