She was so fat the Bumbo seat used to come with her when we picked her up from it.

Mine still have milk (or did last time I checked) but they haven't noticeably reacted to babies since before Alice was one.

:rotfl:SS at boobs hurting. How many of you have got mushier since you had kids? Sad adverts, or really cute things get me now.
A few months ago I was reading The Railway Children to Alice and I nearly cried at the end when their dad came back. :o I was never so emotional before Alice.

  • bexta - I am an emotional wreck!! I hardly ever used to cry at the TV or films, books would get me occasionally but only if they were real tear-jerkers.

Now I cry at everything!!! Last night I blubbed at Eastenders AND at Corrie :o I don't even like Corrie!!!

My absolute worst though was whilst I was pregnant. Hubby was watching some kind of You've Been Framed type programme, some kid fell off his bike and I burst into uncontrollable sobbing because he might have hurt himself....even when he got up and laughed I was still crying five minutes later :o

:rotfl:It's crazy isn't it? I'm used to being a big tough girl :p and now find myself welling up at soppy poems about motherhood and adverts with cute puppies.

Right, I'd best get madam and myself sorted, it's OHs birthday tomorrow and we need to get him a present.

Im angry with DH currently, he doesn't seem to get it though. Maybe my ignoring him and one word answers aren't enough :rotfl:

He said that i dont do alot for Lily, but he keeps on saying it and making out i never take care of her except on weekends when he's at work, but even then i cant cope as i want him to come home
IIRC his job is relatively recent? If you're used to things being a certain way and then they change then you're bound to find it hard and wish he was there at the times he used to be but it doesn't mean you can't cope. OH usually works late shifts for Royal Mail in December and the first two years I found it very hard work because he wasn't there at the usual times and doing the things he usually had - last year (when Alice was 2 1/2) was the first year I didn't find it really hard work. Technically (taking into account her usual sleep pattern) I actually was on my own with Alice less but I still found it harder just because it was different.

Since DS1 was born I've had that pulling sensation in your chest when I see babies and am feeling maternal at that point. Since Amber was born it has been a very deffinate let down reflex feeling that hasn't gone with the milk.

OK, a guy at DH's work has gave me a bag of leeks. I love leeks, but beyond soup, what can I do with them? I was going to chop them up and freeze them in bags with chopped onion as soup bases.

Getting soppy after having babies? Does anyone remember how I was after going to a road safety thing for college when pregnant with Amber? I still get very upset when I think about that. It was horrible.

Cherry has a baby was on again last night when DH came home from work (midnight) and I was blubbing through that while trying to hide from DH.

My empathy has went into overdrive.
