this might sound a little stupid but........

when you go swimming (local or on hols) with LO's...the swim nappies you get do they just need that and a swimsuit or is there something else as well?

and what is the point of the swim nappies??

said it was a little silly....

Jillie I'd have thought just a swim nappy, and no need for swimsuit - but I don't know!
I've never seen the point of swim nappies, I don't even think they were invented when J was a baby. In however many years of taking my three swimming as babies, we've only ever had one floater incident, (J), any only beacuse he was wearing baggy shorts, and it was quite easy to fish it out and dispose of it before anyone noticed. :rotfl:

  • Jillie, Liam wears a swim nappy and a pair of swim shorts - you can get the all in one suits too!

Swim nappies are just nappies that don't soak up all the pool water like a normal nappy would.

ETA - Our pool would be closed while they disposed on any floaters, and most pools usually have signs up to say swim nappies are compulsory

Does anyone remember Clarks magic steps shoes? I never got any but OMG I wanted some so badly... I thought that you put them on and you would end up in a world like the Labyrinth.
That's the one thing I remember really wanting as a child and not getting. I always thought my mum was really mean but actually it was just because they didn't do them in my size.

I remember Keypers - I used to laugh at the stupid adverts. I think they were mid to late eighties. I had a mini one which was made of some kind of rubbery plasticy material and had a slit in the bottom so you just squeezed it to open it.

So a microwave is an essential to twice as many people as an oven?!
No. 89% of people think an oven is essential (and therefore 11% think it isn't). 22% think a microwave is essential threfore perhaps the people who didn't pick the oven chose the microwave instead.

I had the swan Keyper, stored apple cores in it to see what would happen. Wasn't pretty.

I didn't bother with a swimsuit the first couple of times I took Caitlyn swimming, just put her in the swim nappy... She didn't seem to mind...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
