Is there anyway to find out the marketing history of a house that has changed agencies? We have our eye on a place and would like to find out how long it's been on the market, whether the asking price has changed etc. It's recently moved from one agency to another, so Property Bee just reflects this recent change.
Any help would be great,
Many thanks

a shameless bump to see if anyone has any advice?"Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it" Einstein 19510

Rightmove will show if it's been on there before.
Top menu, House Prices, House Comparison Report. Enter the postcode.
It'll show you if it's been on RM before, the last price it was on at, the last date it was on at that price.0 -
hmm, all I get is the price it was sold at in 2006, and the current EA details. I know its been transferred from another EA recently as 1. current agent confirmed it & 2. got an email a couple of weeks ago from previous agency !
I know it's not essential information, but it would be really useful to know how long it's been on for"Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it" Einstein 19510 -

Hi Liz. On rightmove's home page. Starting from the very top where their logo is, there are tabs For Sale, To Rent, New Homes, Find Agents, House Prices, Overseas and Holiday Lettings.
Click the "House Prices" tab and a little sub menu will appear. Then click "House Comparison Report" and enter the post code of the property and press Start Search.
It should then list the properties under that post code that are on sale now or have been on sale previously.
Hope that helpsNew challenger £2014 in 2014

thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, the house doesn't appear as previously listed: very strange as I am certain that it was ! I guess I'll just have to play things blind if I go in with any offer. At least I know it's changed agents, so that must indicate (hopefully) a certain amount of time on the market?

Strange indeed. Have you searched home.co.uk with the property's post code ? It also has graphs on asking prices and when the property was first indexed. It may show different data, you never know.
Good luck with your offer :-)New challenger £2014 in 2014

thanks again for your reply. I've just had a look, and all it's showing is the current agency details. Ho hum........."Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it" Einstein 19510

Very strange indeed. propertysnake.co.uk shows data of price drops and days on the market but I'm stumped. Maybe the property wasn't with the previous agency for long enough to get indexed on the websites?
If only there were just one huge property database with all details on. But then again, where's the thrill of the chase finding information out.
