Cheapest temporary car insurance

I get my new car this week so looking to get some temporary cover to insure my current car whilst I sell it privately. Have had a few quotes but they all seem rather steep for a car that will be sitting outside my house for a week or two!! Any suggestions?

Why don't you ask your current insurer if you can insure the car as a temporary additional vehicle? Much cheaper and most insurers will oblige providing you are staying with them.
